Lioton 1000 Description:
Lioton 1000 gel is designed to swiftly alleviate discomfort at the affected site by improving microcirculation. It effectively reduces symptoms associated with venous insufficiency in the legs, including sensations of heaviness, fatigue, and swelling. The unique gel formula contains a high concentration of heparin, allowing for the effective penetration of the active substance through the skin. Notably, the use of Lioton 1000 gel poses minimal risk of side effects.
Lioton 1000 Composition
Active ingredient: Heparin sodium
Excipients:
methyl parahydroxybenzoate – 0.12 g, propyl parahydroxybenzoate – 0.03 g, carbomer 940 – 1.25 g, ethanol 96% (ethanol) – 30 ml, neroli oil – 0.05 g, lavender oil – 0.05 g, triethanolamine (trolamine) – 0.85 g, purified water – up to 100 g.
Pharmacodynamics:
Heparin sodium is a direct-acting anticoagulant belonging to the group of medium-molecular heparins. It prevents thrombosis, inhibits the activity of hyaluronidase, and activates the fibrinolytic properties of blood.
When applied externally, it exerts a local antithrombotic, decongestant, and anti-inflammatory effect. Additionally, it improves blood microcirculation and activates tissue metabolism, thereby accelerating hematological resorption processes, preventing blood clots, and reducing tissue swelling.
Pharmacokinetics:
For external use, a small amount of heparin enters the systemic circulation, without exerting a systemic effect or causing changes in blood coagulation parameters. It does not cross the placental barrier.
Lioton 1000 Side Effects:
Possible skin allergic reactions and skin hyperemia.
Sale Features:
Available without a prescription.
Lioton 1000 Special Conditions:
Avoid using the gel for bleeding, in the presence of purulent processes, on open wounds, or on mucous membranes to prevent systemic resorption. Exercise caution when using it in hemorrhagic processes.
Indications: Lioton 1000 gel is indicated for the following conditions:
- Superficial vein diseases: varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency, and related complications (thrombophlebitis, periphlebitis).
- Soft tissue injuries and bruises.
- Subcutaneous hematomas, including those resulting from vein surgery or phlebectomy.
- Localized infiltrates and soft tissue swelling.
Contraindications:
Avoid using the gel if you have a known sensitivity to its components or if you have ulcerative necrotic changes in the skin at the intended application sites. Refrain from applying it to traumatized skin or if you have decreased blood coagulation or thrombocytopenia.
Drug Interaction:
It is not recommended to mix Lioton 1000 gel with other drugs for external use. Additionally, avoid simultaneous topical application with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, tetracyclines, or antihistamines.
Dosage:
For external use, apply a small amount of gel (3-10 cm) to the skin and gently rub it in. Repeat this process 1-3 times a day, ensuring a thin layer of gel is applied.
For localized consequences of injuries and bruises, such as hematoma, infiltrate, or soft tissue edema, apply the gel until the symptoms disappear.
For initial symptoms of venous insufficiency, such as “heaviness,” leg pain, and venous edema, apply within 1 to 3 weeks. The duration depends on the severity of the symptoms.
For chronic venous insufficiency, including varicose veins, superficial periphlebitis, and superficial thrombophlebitis, apply within 4-6 weeks. The duration depends on the severity of the disease’s symptoms. The need for further treatment should be determined by a doctor.
Overdose: An overdose is unlikely due to the low absorption of the gel components.
